Kim is a faculty member at Kean University.  In addition, she works as a personal trainer and sports coach at the Westfield Area YMCA and has worked as a YMCA Exercise Specialist and Nutritionist.  She holds a doctorate in Nutritional Sciences from Penn State, a master's degree in Exercise Science from Kean and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ramapo College and completed a post-doc in nutrition education at Rutgers.  Her research interests include the effects of diet on sports training and chronic disease prevention and the development of education materials that promote nutrition, physical activity and wellness across the health and science curriculum.  She is the author of several peer-reviewed publications and frequently lectures about diet and physical activity.  When not in the classroom or lab, Kim enjoys playing tennis and soccer, creating new recipes and spending time with friends and family.
